In blatant disregard to previous things I might have stated about the general theme of this blog, I’m getting set to make some changes in direction. Come to think of it, I may have already been making these changes for awhile.

For starters, I think it will get somewhat more focused on web design and development, startups and entrepreneurship (esp. as related to the aforementioned fields), and other related issues. OS related news, especially regarding Linux and Mac OS X, will still likely find a place here as well.
I used to try to write a fair bit about tech support — because that is what I did for a living (and still do). However, there are only so many things you can say about tech support. Furthermore, the things that people really want to read about tech support are the stories — crazy users, stupid users, crashed servers, enormous problems, BOFH stories — exactly the sort of stories that I’m not going to be relating, because I chose a long time ago not to be anonymous. And also, all my users, of course, are geniuses. (Hi everybody!)
My main interests, outside of Linux (and more recently, the Mac), are entrepreneurship and programming, particularly as relating to web development and design. As well, I’m going to be throwing a great deal of my free time into these pursuits, both freelancing and independent development. So I’m anticipating that I’ll have a fair bit of material to write about.
Does the world need yet another blog about web design and development? Heck, I don’t know! Probably not. But the world is going to get one anyways, because its hella more interesting than tech support or what I had for breakfast. (A little package of instant oatmeal; yes, it was pretty good, but I’m still hungry, and thanks for asking.)
