So, in record time (even for me) I managed to horribly mangle my laptop installation of Linux Mint. I checked about fifty+ packages for installation, willy nilly, using the Synaptic package manager… and, by the time they were all installed and the machine rebooted, X would no longer work.
I’ve a feeling that I could have spent some time and fixed it, but the system was brand new, so I just decided to reinstall, instead.
It isn’t very often I’ve broken a Linux installation in only 4 days. I don’t know if I should be impressed, or what. Guess I’ll be a little more careful in what I install on the new system…
