Much has been said about the power of the Internet/Youtube/etc to propel awareness of things which, years ago, might never have been heard or seen outside the local area where they were created. I think a lot of people have expressed that thought and its ramifications better than I can, so I’ll just say that this is a great example of that phenomenon.
Also, Scroobius Pip gets much respect from me for naming himself after an Edward Lear poem. Much though it may chaff with lovers of “real poetry”, I will confess that Lear is one of my favorites.
Also, it is clarified in the first few minutes of the interview (second video, above) that “Kill” in the song refers, not to murder, but to an expression one might make: That killed, or That really kills. In case you were concerned.
